After a long layover in Anchorage, we visit our teacher friends on the island of Kodiak.
Jake's friend, Matthew, lives in Kodiak, AK with his wife Kate (they're both teachers in the Kodiak School District), so we decided to visit them. We spent an extended layover biking around Anchorage before arriving at the Kodiak airport to find them waiting for us. Throughout the next week, we climbed two mountains, drove up a third, ate some deliciously fresh seafood, played a bunch of board games, as well as yard badminton, and explored some of the state parks on Kodiak Island.
