We started off our final morning in Acadia with a trip to iconic Cadillac Mountain, the tallest peak on Mount Desert Island at 1530 ft and the only one that you can drive to the top of. It was foggy all morning, so it was like driving into a cloud, but once we got to the top, we started to see a little sky.

We then drove back down the mountain to walk along the Ocean Path on the east side of the island. We got to visit "Thunder Hole," a small cave in the rocks on the shore that, due to some pretty wicked fluid dynamics, causes an explosive blast of water during higher tides. I got a photo right before we almost got splashed with water.

And then, it was time to check out. We packed up the camper and headed west. As we said a couple days ago, we decided we had to stop and try the five-time winning chocolate ice cream at Gifford's. Out verdict: four thumbs up! We had some other delicious flavors as well like Peanut Butter Pie.

After making it through the Canadian border crossing without incident, we continued onward through Southeast Quebec Province. The switch to KM and everything being only in French did throw us for a loop a bit, but with some trusty Google Translate (Parlez vous anglais?), we made it to our Airbnb in Brossard, a suburb of Montreal, and a shower that doesn't require us to pay by the minute!
