Bonjour, hello!

When researching what to do in Montreal several websites said we had to have their bagels. They claim to be better than New Yoker bagels. After tracking down an ATM we were able to secure some of them. We've never had bagels from New York but these were pretty good. We enjoyed a picnic breakfast at Mont Royal, a beautiful park/mountain in the center of Montreal with a chalet visitor center at the top.

After enjoying the views we decided to leave the car at the park and continue on foot. Our first destination was the Atwood Market.

We ate a small lunch along the river and then strolled towards Old Montreal on St. Paul Street and St. Paul's Cathedral.

At this point we were nearing 28,000 steps for the day so we decided to try our hand at the Metro. Jake did a great job navigating the map and machine with his French Dictionary. We secure our passes and headed across town to see a new part of the city. We enjoyed some craft beers at Dieu du Ciel! (exclamation mark is part of the name). Afterward we had some delicious burgers at Burger de Ville (kinda like a Five Guys). Then we got back on the Metro and even manged to transfer trains correctly and headed back to the park and our car.

We decided to take the "shortest" way through the park: over. After climbing the many stairs to the top we enjoyed the view once more before heading back to our Airbnb.
