"Love is wonderful, so don't settle for less."

Yesterday was the day we planned on seeing many of the iconic sights in London. We started out the morning walking through the Kensington Gardens around Kensington Palace.

We continued on around the Round Pond and along the Serpentine.

Once we got through Hyde Park, we went to the Natural History Museum.

We mostly checked out the earthquakes and volcanoes exhibit. This is the escalator you go up into the exhibit.

We then popped into the Victoria & Albert Museum and looked at the India exhibit. Here's the front door.

We had lunch at a little cafe and then traveled to Buckingham Palace which Casey thought was underwhelming. The gates have this really impressive detail but the palace itself is just big.

Now, Westminster Abbey on the other hand, Casey thought, just exuded "grand-ness."

The same with the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.

The London Eye is cool too.

We continued our walk to the National Gallery, which has a nice viewing platform over Trafalgar Square.

Before the show, we had dinner at the Spaghetti House, a surprisingly authentic Italian restaurant despite the generic name. We ordered the spaghettata, which is just a family style bowl of spaghetti.

After dinner, we had a drink at The Two Sportsman (they play rugby and football if you're wondering) and then to the Lyric Theatre for Showstopper!, the improv musical.

The show was incredible. We were smiling, laughing, and clapping the entire time. And so was everyone else around us. After taking setting and title suggestions from the audience, our show ended up being called Ride 'Em Cowgirl, the more-than-slightly-risqué show set in a "house of ill repute" in the Wild West (which was apparently in Tennessee; the Brits may need to work on their geography a touch).

Other than that bit, the actors were absolutely brilliant, mixing in homages to Hamilton, Bollywood, Matilda, Wicked, A Little Night Music, and Aladdin. Throughout this, they somehow managed to spin up and then resolve a plot wherein Clara Bell, an up and coming young lady working at the Prancing Pony, a "house of ill repute" run by Josephine, falls in love with Brother Jeremiah, the town preacher, who also happens to be Josephine's ex-husband. Another important character was Rumor Mary, the town gossip, and trusted confidante of Brother Jeremiah. As you can imagine, hilarity ensued.

At the end, everyone ends up married (even Rumor Mary, to the Prancing Pony's bar tender), and they all remember that beautiful verse from the bible, 1 Ephesians chapter something or other, "Love is wonderful, so don't settle for less," which they all recited at the same time (think Ouija board). It was glorious.
